Towards the end of the year I always reach for the cotton and my crochet hook. I love making dishcloths - a little stack of 3 colours and prehaps a stripy one from the leftovers paired with a scrubbing brush or a fragrant bar of soap makes for a great gift.

(Side advantage - it is totally possible to crochet a set of these during those end of year music and ballet performances we get to enjoy every year 😉)
