Sirdar 5371 - Puppy Sweater and Soft Toy
Sirdar 5371 Sweater pattern with Puppy and Bone Motifs in Snuggly Cashmere Merino is an adorable baby’s garment. It features a crewneck with 3-button back closure, set-in sleeves, and sweet intarsia puppy on the front and bone on the back. The cardigan is knit flat in pieces from the bottom up and then seamed together. Instructions to knit the puppy toy are included.
Sirdar Snuggly Cashmere Merino DK is a super-soft blend of wool, cashmere, and acrylic. Smooth and tightly plied, this yarn is made for next-to-the-skin wear, and it's machine-washable too. The toy puppy and the intarsia designs include Snuggly Bunny, a super soft faux fur yarn that makes this toy and garment so much fun to knit. The intarsia patterns are in chart form only.

When substituting yarn, compare the tension gauge of the pattern and the yarn. Working a tension square to determine the suitability of the yarn as a substitute is recommended - to compare the tension for sizing but also to test whether it creates the fabric you are after.
To determine the quantity needed, compare the total meterage needed in the pattern to the meterage on the substitute.
